This year marks the 17th year of the auction.  For 2025 we were granted one moose hunt permit, in line with state moose population management goals.  The highest bidder will receive a 2025 New Hampshire Moose Hunt permit.  Last year, the Foundation received four bids, with the winning bid coming from Massachusetts.

We will be opening the bids in August 2025 and will notify the winning bidder on that day.   The successful bidder will be able to harvest one moose of either sex in a wildlife management unit that has permits allocated. No moose shall be taken in wildlife management units with zero permits allocated.  Individuals who receive a permit for the 2025 New Hampshire open moose hunt lottery will not be eligible to participate in the auction.  Additional information about moose hunting in New Hampshire, including rules, permits, and licenses can be found on the NH Fish and Game website.   Moose Hunting in NH and NH Moose Regulations

Proceeds from this year’s auction help support critical fish and wildlife conservation initiatives, in addition to education, habitat, fish hatchery, and law enforcement programs and activities.
